Hi! We are a small team with a passion for creating attractive, usable websites that add value to your business.
Each member of our team is an expert in their own field. By bringing all their specialist skills together under one roof, the Webteam here at Furness Internet can offer a bespoke service with superb product quality and customer care for a competitive price. You can pick and choose from our range of services to make the right package for you. Whether you want to leave all the hard work to us, or have maximum input on all aspects of the website, the Webteam at Furness Internet are the right people for the job.
Mike Rhodes
Webteam Manager / Tinkerer
Mike Rhodes has so far racked up six years at Furness Internet, and has been managing the web team since late 2009. With a background in sales management, Mike enjoys instructing his team of five, rather loudly at times - but very nicely! - and puts his degree in nerdism (Computer Science) to good use by teaching the Webteam clever codey things.
Mike has several loves in life. Of course, his wife and two small people come first. Then comes Poppy the dog. His Xbox and hot chilli sauces also qualify for the love list, but at a slightly lesser degree. At least, we hope they’re lower down the list! Mike is not so fond of the Keswick to Barrow walk after failing to complete it twice because his feet fell off.
Chris Sharp
Designer Extraordinaire
Chris is one of the longer serving webteam members, having stuck in there for ten whole years now. He’s got a clever degree in Fine Art from UCLAN, and since joining Furness Internet has moved to Carlisle (wise decision to move away from the madhouse/office), got married and produced two little ones.
And what exactly is Chris interested in, I hear you ask? Well. He likes football, mainly of the Man Utd. variety. And building up his large record collection (yup, this guy has style). In the web world, he’s excited about CSS3, HTML5, typography and web standards. Be warned, however. He likes quality design work. If it ain’t good, we’re not responsible for his resulting anger.

Anya Graham
Marketing & Projects Manager
Before joining the team, Anya spent time getting an education in Amsterdam. No, not that kind of education. Behave yourselves. She’s clever with audio and video, and sometimes words too.
What does Anya like? Lots of things! All things cute and cuddly (no, we don’t know why she wants to work in an office full of Furness Internet men either), thinking up new recipes, cycling and yoga. She has funky headphones, likes to watch the Tour de France and loves bento box lunches. Crazy.
Stephen Jay
Web Developer
Stevie Jay. He’s the only person in the whole company to be called by his full name. Nobody knows why, but it sounds cool so it’s stuck. He’s been with Furness Internet since the dawn of time, or so they say. Just for reference, this is more than a decade. Nuff said.
So. What do we know about Stevie? He’s a Wales supporter and has a nice rugby rivalry with Mike. He likes to listen to fine classical music sung by fine classical ladies, and who can blame him? He studied at UCLAN and has been to the moon. We said it here, so it must be true. Stevie’s response to this was “One small step for Stevie, one giant leap for the webteam”. How apt.
Jimmy Clarke
Web Developer
Jimmy is a multi-talented soul who started as an apprentice with the Webteam around three years ago. As well as being clever with computers, he’s clever with circus type stuff. You know, juggling fire and all that jazz. But don’t worry, he hasn’t set fire to the office yet, he enjoys the working atmosphere too much.
He likes bikes, and has passed his motorscooterbike test, so now he can use cars or bikes. Yay! And he also appears to be good at walking, having survived two years of the Keswick to Barrow walk, which is around 40 miles long.
Alex Duke
Apprentice
Alex is the newest member of the Webteam. He’s busy learning to be a Web Developer and Designer, whilst feeding his minor Facebook addiction. We’ve tried weaning him off it by giving him a venus fly trap and some sunflowers to look after, but no luck yet…
Alex is a sporty soul and enjoys a weekly kickabout with some of the other guys in the office, when he’s not watching his beloved Man Utd. When he’s not working, you’ll probably find him running between stages at the Reading Festival, throwing himself down French mountains on a snowboard or maybe just indulging in some quality gaming time with his Xbox.
